How to get a referral

A referral to Advanced London Vetcare must come directly from your primary vet. If you’re unsure whether your pet needs to be referred, it’s best to discuss this with your vet, who can advise whether a referral is the right course of action.

Your vet may wish to refer your case to us for:

  • Advanced diagnostics, such as when MRI scans are required
  • Surgical expertise or when minimally invasive techniques are indicated
  • A condition that is proving resistant to first-line treatment
  • A case that would benefit from a second opinion
  • When aftercare or long-term management is needed

If a referral is the right course of action, your vet will get in touch with us directly. We’ll work closely with your vet through every step of the referral process, keeping you informed at every stage.

How your vet will refer your case

Because of our collaborative, clinical approach, making a veterinary referral is straightforward. We accept referrals via:
  • Online referral form - available 24/7 on our website
  • Email - we will share patient history, relevant test results and imaging
  • Phone - our team of veterinary specialists will discuss your case directly.
Once we receive a referral, we’ll:
  • Contact you directly to arrange an appointment
  • Keep you informed at every stage
  • Return your pet to the care of your primary veterinary team with a clear ongoing treatment plan
We aim to work as an extension of your primary vet's practice - supporting you and your current veterinary team with trust, clarity and clinical excellence.
