Meet Dr. Allyson Gosling: Our New Specialist in Veterinary Ophthalmology
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Allyson Gosling, DipACVO, to the Advanced Vetcare London team - bringing world-class expertise in veterinary ophthalmology to South London pets.
With a passion for restoring and preserving vision, and a gentle, collaborative approach to care, Dr. Gosling offers specialist diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of eye conditions in dogs, cats, and other companion animals.
A Journey from Oregon to London - Dedicated to Healthy Eyes
Originally from Oregon, USA, Dr. Gosling graduated with distinction from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010, where she was inducted into the prestigious Phi Zeta Honor Society.
Her commitment to excellence led her through competitive rotating and ophthalmology internships in Boise and Portland, followed by a three-year residency in Comparative Ophthalmology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.
In 2016, she achieved Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (DACVO) - a recognition held by only a select group of specialists worldwide.
Extensive Expertise in Complex Eye Conditions
Dr. Gosling brings a wealth of experience from her years working in multi-specialty referral hospitals across the Pacific Northwest, most recently as a Veterinary Ophthalmologist at BluePearl NE Portland.
Her clinical interests include:
- Corneal disease and corneal surgery
- Ocular manifestations of systemic conditions
- Feline ophthalmology
- Advanced diagnostic and microsurgical techniques
Whether managing chronic diseases or performing intricate surgical procedures, Dr. Gosling is committed to providing pets with the highest standard of ophthalmic care.
A Leader, Lecturer, and Advocate
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Gosling has lectured widely at veterinary conferences and professional meetings and has published research in Veterinary Ophthalmology and other peer-reviewed journals.
She is also deeply committed to shaping a more inclusive future for the profession, serving on diversity, equity, and inclusion committees within the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists.
